Hello everybody! I honestly don’t remember my life without soccer. I played soccer my whole life, as young as 3 years old.
Grew up in Brazil playing academy for different clubs, the main ones being Corinthians and CATS (Clube Atletico Taboão da Serra).
I moved to the US in 2016 with a scholarship to play college soccer winning two state championships for Fresno City College (2017/2019) and a conference GSAC title for Hope International University clinching a spot to the Nationals on the same year.
I graduated with a Psychology degree and now I’m working towards getting my degree in Sports Psychology, trying to help athletes on and off the field. If I’m not on the field I’m probably watching soccer somewhere.
Coaching Philosophy:
Every team I coach has to be comfortable having the ball the whole time. I hate kickball and from the younger ones to the college players I coach them in a way that they will keep the possession most of the game, the way the game is supposed to be played in my point of view.
Practice time is work time, but it does not mean that we will not have fun and enjoy as we work. I bring a lot of my joy personality to the sessions, getting personal with each athlete I have. If an athlete is motivated and has positive attitude that’s all I need, I will take care of the rest.
I try to raise the technical bar of every team I coach, because I believe that’s the only way to have a player comfortable with the ball under his feet.
What influenced you to coach?
I became a coach because I don’t see my life outside of soccer. It was the way I found to live 24/7 the sport I love and at the moment I don’t see my life without it.
Football Experience:
Pindamonhangaba, Taubaté, São José dos Campos
Coaching Experience:
I started coaching about 5 years ago when I was still working towards getting my bachelors. At first I was only coaching at camps for kids my college would hold, but it changed quick. On the first year coaching I already felt in love with the profession and started coaching at a local club in Fresno.
2022 I joined Culture FC and now I have three different teams with them, a boys team 2014, and girls 2010 and 2013/14.
Outside of the club life, I also coach at Cypress High School. Last year with the frosh team we had an amazing season winning the league undefeated. This year I am coaching the JV boys.
Lastly, now I am an assistant coach for Stanton University, a private school in Anaheim that just joined NAIA, on the Cal pac conference. It’s safe to say that at this moment I am coaching every age groups, always looking for improving and learning more and more.
Education/Licenses:

My 3 Favorite Things About Coaching:
• love when I see a player that used to struggle becoming better, and more motivated to work.
• I love a team that always have a positive attitudem, wanting to work and help each other.
• A player that has joy with the ball under his feet. Soccer is about having fun too.
Fun facts about me:
I almost had to give up on soccer a while ago. I had a cartilage issue on my right knee that set me back almost 3 years without playing a full game. Seven surgeries later I was able to go back to play the sport I love with no pain.
Favorite coaching moments:
I feel like every moment coaching is special even on the most painful loss. Every moment coaching gives me not just more soccer experience, but also it gives me life experience. I believe soccer is an extension of life. Every single emotion the game gives you, you will have in your personal life too.
Favorite Football moments:
When Brazil won the World Cup 2002. I was only 6 but I remember vividly how loud the whole country was.
R9 coming back to Brazil to play for Corinthians and scoring a goal against Palmeiras on his very first game as a starter.
Corinthians winning the Libertadores and club World Cup back to back in 2012.
Favorite all-time players:
Ronaldo “Fenômeno” R9
Pelé
Neymar
Nilmar
Paulinho (Corinthians/Barcelona)
Favorite team:
Sport Clube Corinthians Paulista
Other interesting things about me:
I love Brazilian food! It’s hard to find good ones around here, so I had to learn how to cook a little so I could eat the things I like. Now I love cooking (when I am not in a rush)
I also love music. I appreciate every genre but mostly Brazilian styles such as Samba/Pagode and funk. I also love hip hop, jazz and R&B.
